We would like to dedicate this page to a couple of the systems we have designed, built or installed for our clients.
Thisis a small cross section but will give you an idea of what other people are doing with Aquaponics.There are also the Rush Creek and Coffs Harbour systems that have their own pages.
Linda McNally's "Aquaponics at Home" system
One of the first systems we built
was for Linda. We built a two grow bed and one 1000 litre fish tank
system for her. It was something her whole family could get
involved with and she has been so impressed that she even has her
own web site Aquaponics at Home.
Nundah System
We decided to set this one up out
in the open with no covering of the grow beds. There was a theory
that rain water would kill off the fish if the system was out in
the open. Well this just was not the case and not only did the fish
survive but the growth of plants was just fantastic. We have very
hot summers here so there is certain plants that just do not
survive the heat but I overcame the seedlings issue of
survival by making sure the water level was higher and the roots
were getting all the nutrients they required.
